Why don't my wiper blades clean my windshield well?
First of all take a look at your wiper blade and see is the rubber still flexible or is it really stiff? If it's really stiff, some fresh blades are probably in order, especially here in Mesa, Arizona we tend to see them dry rot. Secondly if you run your blade about halfway up the windshield, check to see if it's making contact all the way. If not, there may be some issues with the arm itself that holds the rubber.
Are you struggling with your wiper blades not doing a very good job of cleaning your windshield? Welcome to Mercie J auto care where compassion and craftsmanship come together, I'm Rick Smith. I thought I'd give you a couple of tips today.

Third, check to see if it's square on the windshield. Often times in a car wash or something like that these things can get bent up. So sometimes a little bit of tweaking, tweaking it to get a little more pressure on the windshield. Getting that square and everything will help out. Assuming all that's good, the most common thing I see is contaminated glass.
So if you use a product some sort of a wax on your windshield like Rain-X can be very helpful. What I found is when you put those products on. you'll end up with streaking, so I put them on twice, wipe it off and then I take a wet rag with just water wipe it and your glass will come out really clean. Then when you drive down the road you hit a rainstorm, most of the water will just feed off of it but you'll also find that your wiper will be much smoother and do much better job of cleaning if you take care of that contaminated glass. I hope this has been informational to you, until next time safe travels and blessings to you.
