Now, a fuel injector, if it's got problems is going to cause one of two things. It's either going to cause not enough fuel or too much fuel. The primary reason you should not drive when you have fuel injector problems is, if the fuel mixture is not accurate, it can cause your catalytic converter to overheat. If your catalytic converter overheats and fails, that's really hard on the pocketbook.

Depending on the severity of the failure of the injector depends on how you can drive the car or not, whether it will perform okay and get to where you need to go or whether you're stranded.
