Now they can burst because there’s too much pressure in the system. For some reason, most of the time the reason they burst because of a process called electrochemical degradation and basically what that means is the the hose rots from the inside out. There are fibers inside the hose and what happens is if the coolant is not serviced regularly(radiator fluid or antifreeze) then the problem is we start to have electrolysis. It starts to conduct electricity and when it does that, it's typically close to the clamp and high where there's air involved. We usually feel, like a chiropractor may feel your back and if we hear any crunching or feel a tear inside then we know we have electrochemical degradation and that was causing the radiator hose or heater hose to burst. Thanks for watching, until next time, safe travels and blessings to you.
