Walk through the Shop with Rick (Behind the Scenes)

Good morning, the shops not quite open yet this morning so I thought maybe we’d take a walk-through and just see what we got here today. Welcome to Mercie J auto care, where compassion and craftsmanship come together. I’m Rick Smith, certified master technician and just to start things off, I read the from the Bible this morning from Psalm and said because I trust in the Lord my heart leaps with joy so I hope all of you your hearts leap with joy and that’s kind of a prayer for my family today as well. So let’s flip the camera around and see what’s going on here this morning. So first of all it looks like we have a 2014 Honda Odyssey it’s in for two leaks, one is an oil leak from the valve timing control solenoid and the other is a power steering leak which you can’t see in this picture but it is down underneath and it’s so one of the power steering hoses. Then we got a Mercedes in here I think it’s just some servicing and I think maybe a couple lightbulbs or something so nothing major there. We have this 2004 Chevrolet avalanche in the shop right now so unfortunately on this one has there is a catastrophic failure on the differential so we’re gonna be it’s a little bit too damaged to repair so we’re going to put a differential in at a remanufactured unit from @Jasper Engines & Transmissions Jasper engines & Transmissions. This is a F-250 super duty Ford this particular Ford belongs to a company that installs manufactured homes kind of brings them to the site and sets them up, so because it’s a commercial vehicle it had to have a Department of transportation or DOT inspection so when we did the inspection we found some brake issues I think there was an exhaust manifold issue and some lights so get them all back on the road say so they can continue on their way to take care of business. This I believe is a 2013 Dodge Durango it has an oil leak from the oil cooler down in there and next we have a 05 Chevy Colorado. The battery is going dead because something is draining it so are doing some electrical tests to see what’s causing that problem. Next on the docket looks like we have a sprinter van here this van I don’t think has really any issues we’re just doing an oil change service and maybe a couple little other maintenance items like an air filter or something like that but nothing major there. Then the Mercie J courtesy car is just here in its bed for the night but it’ll be out and about take care of business today the rest the day. So we really truly do enjoy what we do here we find a lot of satisfaction in our work so it looks like we’re gonna have a great day as far as really being happy with what we get to do and so I hope your day goes as well and you find great satisfaction whatever you’re doing thanks for watching blessings to you and safe travels.
