I'm Rick Smith, ASE Certified Master Technician. If you have a Minivann or SUV, you likely have dual air conditioning. The way we get cold air on our face is by pumping refrigerant into an evaporator. When you have dual ac, you will have two evaporators. One will be somewhere in the dash most often behind the glove box. The other is most commonly located in one of the panels near a rear tire. We only use one compressor to pump the refrigerant to both evaporators.
