Charging your Air Conditioning System is tricky. Just a little bit too much and we can damage the Air Conditioning Compressor. Not enough and we can damage the AC Compressor. So, the only proper way to charge the system is to put it under a vacuum and suck all of the air out of it and we get the moisture out. Then we make sure there’s the proper amount of AC Compressor Oil in it and sometimes we install a dye so we can find leaks in the future as well. Then the Refrigerant has to be put in by weight. So if it calls for 23 ounces, we put in 23 ounces. So this is probably not something you can do yourself. If your AC is working wonderfully, you probably do not need an AC Recharge.
