Now first of all, let me say that a mass airflow sensor is a critical input to the computer. So if you have a problem with it, you do want to fix it. It can be used for a lot of things and one of the things a lot of people don't know about is that the computer can sometimes adjust the pressures in the transmission because of what it's seeing on the mass air flow sensor. If you don't have enough pressures, you can actually destroy a transmission.
