Now according to my grandkids who watch Bluey, a Squib is somebody who's a sore loser, but there's a part on the car called The Squib.

Now according to my grandkids who watch Bluey, a Squib is somebody who's a sore loser, but there's a part on the car called The Squib. One of the things we have in our cars is called supplemental restraint systems or SRS and those can be active seat belts and they can be those air bags. We have curtain air bags and we have the air bags that are in front of you. Basically for an airbag to deploy and help cushion your body in the event of an accident, there's an explosive action that that ignites and causes that airbag to expand and the device that sets that off is called the squib.
