What should a full Brake Service Include?

What does a full Brake service include? Welcome to Mercie J auto care, where compassion and craftsmanship come together. I’m Rick Smith, Master certified technician. Now your brakes wear over time as you drive your vehicle and so periodically you do have to do a brake job or brake service. At Mercie J we include a number of things to make the brake job top quality. First of all we use really high-quality brake pads. Secondly, the the calipers need to be serviced so they slide back-and-forth and there’s some pins and things that need to be polished and lubricated to make sure everything works freely. Next we have to address the rotors. In some situations, we can machine those rotors and give them a fresh surface to save you some money. Other times the rotors need to replaced. Lastly, we always change the brake fluid. Brake fluid is hydroscopic, it absorbs moisture. We want to change it every now and then.
