JASPER ® Offers GM 5.3L DOD/AFM Deleted Engine Option with Available DiabloSport i3 Programmer

At Mercie J Auto Care in Mesa we like to stay on top of our JASPER news. JASPER just released a GM 5.3L engine with a DOD/AFM deleted option (not available in California), and an available DiabloSport i3 programmer.

 

This Engine is available for the following:

2007-2014

Chevy: Silverado, Avalanche, Suburban, Tahoe

GMC: Yukon, Sierra

2008-2009                                                                                           2007-2009

Chevy: Trailblazer                                                                            Chevy: Impala

Saab: 9-7x                                                                                          Pontiac: Grand Prix

GMC: Envoy                                                                                     Buick: LaCrosse

Buick: Rainier

“Due to customer requests, JASPER now offers a GM 5.3L option with a non-DOD (Displacement On Demand)/AFM (Active Fuel Management) camshaft, lifters and a flat valley plate (without solenoids),” said Brad Boeglin, JASPER Research and Development Group Leader.

“Along with the purchase of this engine, customers will be responsible for having the ECM programmed to remove the command for the DOD/AFM,” said Boeglin.  “To help support this engine, JASPER is also offering the DiabloSport i3 programmer as an upsell item to reprogram the ECM, and remove the command for the DOD/AFM activation.  The programmer is CARB, and EPA, Certified in all 50 states.”

“The programmer will be shipped with a license, and preloaded tuning options, for a single vehicle,” said Boeglin.  “If a shop wants to program more than the one vehicle, they can contact DiabloSport to purchase additional licenses.  The programmer can hold up to 50 licenses.”
